JAMES W.E. DIXON, II
Jeremiah 1:5 records…Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you; (NASB)

Having assumed his predestined place in the divine lineage of his family, James Wallace Edwin Dixon, II, is marching to God’s drumbeat along the path of leadership greatness.  History records that this path is marked with footprints of daring church planters, powerful pastors and preachers, deacons, church mothers, musicians, educators and business owners who made an indelible mark in the areas of church, family and community.  Their Christian conduct, family values, leadership styles, business practices and nuggets of wisdom served to shape this anointed and appointed man of God.  Today, he stands as a rare composite of their particular contributions to his life, both directly and indirectly.

Providentially planted at The Community Of Faith Church in Houston, Texas for 25 years, Pastor Dixon is passionate concerning the greatest responsibility assigned to a human being…that of feeding sheep and watching over the souls of men.  He has eagerly responded to the call to preach and teach the Word with accuracy.  His ministry context is an evidenced continuum of the Christ as we find in Luke 4:18-19 (NASB),  18THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED, 19TO PROCLAIM THE FAVORABLE YEAR OF THE LORD."   His God-breathed vision is comprehensive and focuses on extending the “Kingdom” of God biblically, evangelistically, educationally, economically, politically, socially and globally.  The KingdomPlex, a 50+ acre development anchored by the 2,500 seat King’s Dome is proof of anointing and acumen which are necessary for transforming lives and communities.

Only the infinite mind of God can accurately calculate and maintain an infallible record of the lives touched and empowered, souls rescued from Satan’s grip, minds educated, families united, hungry fed, naked clothed and homeless sheltered.

Pastor Dixon is sensitive to the challenge and burden of the pulpit to accurately explain and proclaim the Bible.  He is highly respected for his ability to do just that and is noted for his “realness” in the process. Sermon after sermon, lesson after lesson, and message after message, God’s Word is shared with clairvoyance, biblical accuracy and practical relevance.  He has launched an all-out war against Satan and his kingdom by declaring that it is all about the kingdom of God!  Standing firm on Matthew 6:10… “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” and Matthew 6:33… “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.”  Pastor Dixon is nationally recognized, acclaimed and sought with diligence for his ability to teach kingdom building principles for effective church growth and community transformation.  Pastors seeking to connect with the recognized anointing of Pastor Dixon gave raised to the Kingdom Builder’s Fellowship. The responsibility of leading other pastors is both humbling and challenging, yet God evidenced his approval and favor by knitting the hearts of the brethren through prayer.   Even in its infancy, the Kingdom Builder’s Fellowship has evidenced effectiveness through missions work in post Katrina and on the distant soil of Uganda, East Africa.

Civic and social responsibilities are also on his agenda.  Pastor Dixon can be found in the boardroom, in the courtroom, on the front line, or even in the trenches when it comes to serving the least, the last and the low.  He is the voice of right and righteousness for all people in civic and social affairs.  His strength and influence were recognized and rewarded by the Mayor of Houston who appointed him to the Metropolitan Transit Authority Board of Directors.  He maintains an active posture with the NAACP and holds positions with the National Action Network under the leadership of Reverend Al Sharpton, and Rainbow PUSH Coalition led by Reverend Jesse Jackson.

Pastor Dixon is a producer of inspiring and empowering content, both musically and in print.  He is the author of “The Difference is Vision,” which details the contents of a clearly defined revelation from God.  His next work is entitled “If God is So Good, Why are Blacks Doing So Bad?” will be published by LifeBridge Books.  God gave him the lyrics to The Lamb’s Book of Life, Are You Saved?, It Ain’t Over, and most recently On Broken Pieces, a message of hope to Katrina survivors and others faced with insurmountable odds.  He is signed to the Blackberry Record Label.  He is also a lover of foundational hymns and has re-arranged several standard hymns with no compromise of their sacred messages.

In the midst of multifaceted ministerial and civic responsibilities, Pastor Dixon is committed to the institution of family.  Being a product of strong, resilient and God-fearing families, he is continuing the legacy by building his own.  With his lovely wife Tanisha at his side, they have partnered to continue to model the difference “kingdom-focused” family makes.  The Dixon quiver is currently blessed with two delightful and talented daughters, Mariah Nicole (age 9) and Victoria Elyse (age 2).  At the God-appointed moment in April 2007, their hearts and household will receive a third Dixon blessing!
